My name is Dustin Simoens. I grew up on the Western Slope and found my way to Gunnison Valley when I started at Western State College in 2008. I found my place and am now proud to call this place home. I am committed to this community in several capacities, working as a teacher and a middle school basketball coach. I love spending time in the mountains with my wife Mikaela and my dog Stella.

One of my greatest passions has been trail running in the mountains and canyons of western Colorado. I believe there is nowhere as special as getting lost in the mountains of the Gunnison Country.

On August 13th I will be embarking on my 8th 100 mile running race in Lake City, CO - The High Five 100. In order to make it my best year yet, I am committed to fundraising for Living Journeys. I believe no one should have to face cancer alone. Living Journeys provides support for those in Gunnison County facing cancer. Last year alone, Living Journey's clients received over $67000 in direct financial support. In addition, Living Journeys also provided 2100 meals and over 350 boxes of fresh produce.

By August 13th, 2021, I will raise $5,000 for the clients of Living Journeys. Donations go to helping clients with medical costs, transportation to treatment, therapy, and cost of living for clients going through cancer treatment. Please consider donating to this incredible organization. Living Journeys clients need your help!
